On Wednesday, Lyon contacted producer Yuvraj Shamim’s Facebook from another ID. He said that he lives in Bordbazar area of Gazipur.

Leon Ahmed is not a professional performer. Lived in a hut in Tongi. The director completed the shooting of the movie at the very beginning of 2017. He was in contact with him even at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. But soon after that, Lyon disappeared.
Mohammad Nuruzzaman, the producer of ‘Mango Jackal’, said, “After the shooting of the movie in 2017, I did not go to Tongi area so I did not meet him again. Later, he came to Narayanganj for dubbing, but due to the normal change in his voice during adolescence, another boy named Munna gave his voice to his dialogues. That was the last time I saw him.”
Why was the producer looking for Lyon?
Last year, the movie ‘Mango Jackal’s Holiday’ directed by Mohammad Nuruzzaman was released in a limited number of theatres. It is also shown in various film festivals in the country and abroad.
Producer Nuruzzaman said, “It was not possible to contact him even before the release of the movie. I learned from an unconfirmed source that Lyon worked as a mason in Mymensingh. I thought Lyon would contact me after seeing his picture on posters, magazines, television or YouTube.”
Lyon has not been seen in Tongi since 2020. Where has he been for almost four years, how is he doing; No one knows. Director Nuruzzaman was looking for Lyon since the movie ‘Aam Kanthale Chudhi’ was getting calls in various film festivals. But he was nowhere to be found.
This time this movie has received final nomination in three categories in ‘Merrill Prothom Alo Award 2023’. Best Director, Best Film and Best Actor – The most surprising event happened in these categories was Leon Ahmed who got nominated for ‘Best Actor’.
The main character in the movie ‘Aam Kanthale Chuthi’ is ‘Mainna’. A boy on the right side of the village. Age 11 or 12. Lyon received a Best Actor nomination for his performance in this role.

Producer Nuruzzaman said, “Meeting Leon after many days. He surpasses me in height, the mustache and beard are also quite full. But nature has not yet erased that earlier childishness. Like those first days, the chubby face and tendency to talk with the whole body remains. It was most pleasing to see that Lyon’s simplicity has not taken its toll even after passing through many obstacles in life.”
