After Misha-Dipzold’s oath, the ‘tainted’ chapter was written!

Journey with ‘Kalank’ is the new committee of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association! On Tuesday (April 23) afternoon, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected committee of the organization was held at the FDC. But then an unexpected, unfortunate incident happened.

Allegedly, some film artists attacked journalists.

It is known that after the swearing-in ceremony, newspaper journalist Mithun Al Mamun was interviewing Mayuri’s daughter at the association’s office. Meanwhile, actor Shiva Shanu asked this journalist to leave. If he didn’t want to go, Shanu pushed him out of the office. Meanwhile, other journalists present came forward to stop it. Meanwhile, another leader of the association, Joy Chowdhury, yelled at the journalists saying ‘Mar Mar’. Fierce fights started between journalists and artists. Then the situation went out of control. The entire FDC becomes a battlefield. Some journalists were bloodied in the fight.

So far, no response has been received from the artists’ association.

Around 7:30 pm on this day, journalist Mithun Al Mamun told Bangla Tribune that about 10/12 journalists including him were injured. Lost his own mobile phone and broke many cameras. They are now undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Before this, the swearing-in ceremony of the association was held around 5 pm. Kazi Hayat, President of the Film Directors Association, administered the oath to the newly elected President Misha Saudagar at the beginning. After that, Misha read the oath to others. Apart from the selected members, many others from the cinema industry were also present at this time.

After taking the oath, Misha Saudagar said, ‘I express my sincere respect and love to the artists who have helped us in this great victory. We are indebted to the entire film family. And for everyone’s information, from now on, the previous committee and election council of the association are no longer effective. From this afternoon at 5 pm, we will legally conduct the activities of the artist association for the next two years. I wish for everyone’s cooperation for this.’

Some of the injured journalistsMasum Parvez Rubel and DA Tayeb won the post of Vice President, Arman as Deputy General Secretary, Joy Chowdhury as Organizing Secretary, Alexander Bo as International Affairs Secretary, Jackie Alamgir as Office and Publicity Secretary and Kamal as Treasurer. Besides, Mamnoon Emon has won as culture and sports secretary.

Sucharita, Rozina, Aliraj, Subrata, Dilara Yasmin, Shahnoor, Nana Shah, Ratna Kabir, Chunnu, Riana Parvin Poly and Soni Rahman were elected as executive members.

It is to be noted that in this election Misha-Dipjal was contested by the once popular film actor Mahmud Koli and the heroine of the zero decade Nipun Akhtar. Producer Khorshed Alam Khosru served as Chief Election Commissioner.
