The movie ‘Fan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan was released in 2016. A fan named Afrin Fatima Zaidi was disappointed after the release of the film. He approached the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission about it.

Originally before the release of the film, producer Yash Raj Films released the song ‘Jabra Fan’. But the song was not included in the original film. Frustrated with that, Arfin complained to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission against the production company. On Monday (April 22), the Supreme Court of India ruled in this case.

Arfin alleged that he was cheated. Even she and her children were depressed after watching the film as the song was not in the film. In 2017, Arfin complained to the district level consumer commission about the matter. Then the matter reaches the state level. Later, the National Consumer Commission directed the production company to pay Arfin 10,000 rupees as compensation and 5,000 rupees for incidental legal expenses.

Later the production company took counter action. According to Yash Raj Films, in the promotion of the film, they never mentioned that the song will be included in the film. A bench of Justices PS Narsingh and Arvind Kumar passed the order dismissing the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission’s verdict on Monday.

Shah Rukh played a dual role in the film ‘Fan’. Badshah was seen as a superstar and his fan. The song ‘Jabra Fan’ sung by Nakash Aziz also became quite popular.
