In the morning the director was visiting his Lokhandwala house. At that time he suddenly started sweating. He was rushed to Kokilaben Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The late director’s daughter Sanjana Gadhvi said, “Father died at home around 9:30 on Sunday morning. I didn’t understand until a while ago. Father had no physical ailments. I don’t understand how everything happened suddenly.” Director Kunal Kohli, Sanjay Gupta and ‘Shararat Se Sararat Tak’ famous actress Shruti Sheth expressed grief over the news of Sanjay’s death. Sanjay made his directorial debut in 2000 with the film Tere Lee. However, the film failed at the box office. Two years after that, ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’ was released.
