The news that Kangana is acting in the Hindi film ‘Nati Binodini’ is old. This news was heard in October last year. But then the film was supposed to be directed by ‘Mardaani’ fame director Pradeep Sarkar. Kangana also confirmed to have a romantic relationship with Pradeep Sarkar. But Pradeep Sarkar is no more. The director died suddenly in March this year. It is heard that the film is in the hands of Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Although Prosenjit himself did not say anything about this. So there is a bit of confusion about whether this is the film that Pradeep Sarkar was supposed to make, or a completely different one. However, according to Anandplus sources, famous restaurateur Anjan Chattopadhyay is going to produce the film that Prasenjith is making. And Prasenjit Chatterjee is returning to the direction of this film. The shooting of this ‘Nati Binodini’ will be in Kolkata.
Earlier, Prasenjit had directed a film called Purushottam in the early 90s. He played the lead role in that film along with Devashree Roy. But this time ‘Bumba Da’ does not want to act in his own direction. However, confirming the news of his return to directing, Prosenjit also said that the film he is directing will be at the all-India level.
Apart from Calcutta, actor Prasenjit Chatterjee has also made a name for himself in Bollywood. His performance as Srikanth Roy in the web series ‘Jubilee’ grabbed attention. The series has also been appreciated. Meanwhile, Ramkamal Mukhopadhyay has also announced to make ‘Binodini’ earlier. Rukmini Maitra is acting in the film. So it is quite clear that the real fight as Binodini is going to be between Kangana and Rukmini.
