Dhaka, September 23, 2022 (BSS): Minister of State for Culture KM Khalid said that the seasonal festival in Bangladesh was started by Rabindranath. He wrote about all seasons.
He said, ‘Bangladesh is a country of six seasons. In the six seasons of Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, Hemant, Winter and Spring, the nature of Bengal presents itself in a new form and in a new style.
Seasonal festivals in Bangladesh began in the 1960s with the celebration of Pahela Baisakh in the capital city of Dhaka. Later, this biggest non-communal festival of Bengalis spread across the country beyond Dhaka, regardless of caste, caste, caste, or party.
The State Minister said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the two-day ‘Autumn Festival-1429’ organized by Satyen Sen Art Group at Bakultala of Arts Faculty of Dhaka University today.
Satyen Sen is the vice-president of the artist group, eminent educator and dancer. Under the chairmanship of Nigar Chowdhury, the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University spoke as an honored guest. Md. Akhtaruzzaman and Golam Kudduch, president of Samilit Sansikkar Jota. Manjar Chowdhury Sweet, General Secretary of Satyen Sen Artist Group gave the welcome address.
State Minister of Culture said, ‘Autumn is my favorite season. When this season comes, I go out to see the Kashful. Open spaces in the Purbachal and Bashundhara residential areas of the capital Dhaka, Uttara III Stage (Extended) and Kashful forest can be seen in Aftabnagar. While crossing the Padma bridge, you can see flowers on both sides of the river.
He said, autumn afternoon is wonderful. The raft of white clouds and the whiteness of flowers add to the mind. I enjoy this season very much.
Solo recitals were performed by recitalists Maskur-e-Sattar Kallol, Masuduzzaman, Naila Tarannum Chowdhury Kakali and Sebati Prabha. Musicians Fahim Hossain Chowdhury, Anima Roy, Bijan Chandra Mistry, Bijan Chandra Biswas, Sanjay Kabiraj, Arif Rahman, Ferdousi Kakali, Ratoa Sarkar, SM Mejbah, Shrabani Guha Roy, Navnita Zahid Chowdhury Ananya, Tapsee Ghosh and Maruf performed solo music. Hussain. Group dances were performed by cultural organizations Spandan, Surbihar, Nrityaksh, Bhavna, Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts and Nrityajan. Party music was performed by cultural organizations Bhanishikha, Surnandan, Panchabhaskar, Surbihar and Satyen Sen artists.
