Miscreants hacked a woman named Sathi (35) to death in Akua Jubilee Koryat area of ​​Mymensingh city. Kotwali Model Police Station Deputy Inspector (SI) Taijul Islam said that he was killed sometime on Thursday night.

The deceased spouse lived on rent with her daughter Nira (10) in Habibur Rahman’s house in Jubilee quarter area.

Sathi’s younger sister Shiuli and brother Kamrul alleged that neighbor Babul’s nephew Hridiya used to harass their sister by making missed calls on her mobile phone. On protesting this, early Thursday morning, Babul and Hriday came to Sathi’s house armed and threatened to kill him and took Sathi’s mobile phone to erase the evidence of harassment.

The brothers and sisters of the deceased claimed that a general diary (GD) was made at Kotwali police station on Thursday afternoon in this regard. They think that the threats have killed the partner.

Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team came to the spot after receiving the news of Kupiye’s murder. Police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

SI Taijul said that he does not know whether the GD has been filed in the police station earlier in this regard.
