The police have so far arrested 6 people from the same educational institution along with 3 others in the case of SSC question paper leak in Kurigram.
On Tuesday (September 20), head teacher and central secretary of Nehal Uddin Girls High School Lutfar Rahman, English subject teacher Aminur Rahman and Islamic education teacher Zobair Islam were arrested. Agriculture science teacher Hamidul Islam, Bengali subject teacher Sohail Al Mamun and office assistant (peon) Sujan Mia were arrested on Wednesday (September 21).
Bhurungamari Thana Police sent the three arrested on Tuesday and the three arrested on Wednesday to the Kurigram Court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Abdur Rahman has been temporarily suspended. In this incident, two more exams have been postponed on Thursday. The two postponed exams are Biology and Higher Mathematics.

According to the office order, Bhurungamari Upazila Secondary Education Officer (ongoing duty) in the incident related to leakage of question papers of Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School under Bhurungamari Upazila of Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram District under the ongoing SSC examination 2022. Abdur Rahman was suspended from 22 September 2022 for misconduct under the Government Servants (Disciplinary and Appeals) Rules 2018 (2)(b)(a) for dereliction of duty.
