Without healthy human resources, Bangladesh cannot move forward on the highway of development: Deputy Speaker
Dhaka, September 21, 2022 (BASS): Deputy Speaker Md. Shamsul Haque Tuku said, Bangladesh cannot move forward on the highway of development without healthy human resources.
He said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had dreamed of a non-communal Bangladesh throughout his life. The people of the country will move forward with dignity by building a beautiful nation free from hunger, poverty, and good health. Realizing the importance of the health sector, he included health as a fundamental right in the constitution.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of World Alzheimer’s Day at the meeting room of the National Institute of Neuroscience in the capital today.

The Deputy Speaker said, Alzheimer’s (memory loss) disease is now being diagnosed more. So it is necessary to take treatment to cure this disease. Despite the logistical constraints, the doctors here diligently treat these diseases. He emphasized on increasing awareness about this disease. There is a need to take necessary steps to remedy this in government and private hospitals at divisional city, district and upazila levels.
In the event, a pictorial report of Alzheimer’s research was presented on a total of seven departments in Bangladesh.
He laid more emphasis on presenting this pictorial report at city, district and upazila levels to increase awareness among the people of the country.
