Sukumar Sarkar, Dhaka: Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees have taken shelter in Bangladesh to survive the Burmese military operation. Myanmar is not taking them back at all. On the contrary, the neighboring country is complaining that Rohingya terrorists have a base on the soil of Bangladesh.
According to a circular published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar (Myanmar), the Director General of the Strategic Studies and Training Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs J Phyo Win met with the Ambassador of Bangladesh Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury last Monday morning. In the meeting, Win said, “The militant organizations Arakan Army and Arsa have attacked the Myanmar border posts. Their shells have landed in Bangladesh.” The Myanmar official mentioned the information given to Bangladesh on September 7 in a meeting with the Bangladeshi ambassador. On that day, Myanmar informed Bangladesh through diplomatic channels that Arakan Army and ARSA members have bases and trenches in Bangladesh. He appealed again on behalf of Myanmar to destroy Segusi. Myanmar has also given a letter in this regard to the ambassador of Bangladesh on Monday.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh dismissed all the allegations. Yesterday, Dhaka highlighted the border situation to foreign diplomats at the Padma State Guest House in Dhaka. Then acting foreign secretary of Bangladesh Khurshed Alam told reporters, “There is tension on the border of Myanmar, loss of life is happening. We have told the ambassador of Myanmar that no shell from Myanmar should fall in Bangladesh. He further said, “This is not a new thing in Myanmar. They have been saying this since the beginning. But we have firmly stated that our Prime Minister’s policy is to give no concessions to terrorism. We believe in that principle. Bangladesh never had any intention of destabilizing Myanmar by accommodating anyone. not yet Nor will there be in the future.”
It should be noted that fierce fighting is going on in Myanmar between the government forces and the Rohingya militant organization ‘Arakan Salvation Army’. And the flames of that conflict are falling in Bangladesh. More than once the shells have come from across the border. But keeping in mind the situation, Dhaka does not want to deploy additional troops on the border right now.
