Barisal: National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has fined 6 business establishments in Barisal.

On Wednesday (September 21), the operation was conducted in Lakutia road area under Barisal Metropolitan Airport Police Station and Rahmatpur Bazar area.

Safia Sultana, assistant director of Barisal divisional office of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection in cooperation with the Barisal Metropolitan Police, assistant director of the district office. Shah Shoaib Miah and Divisional Agriculture Marketing Officer SM Mahabub Alam were present.

Shoaib Mia Janan, Assistant Director of Barisal District Office of National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection, 6 businesses were fined 15 thousand rupees for violating various sections of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009.

Leaflets related to Consumer Rights Act were distributed among the local citizens during the drive.

Safia Sultana, Assistant Director of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate, Barisal Divisional Office, said that the market surveillance operation will continue in the interest of the public.
