The final match of the Women’s SAFF Championship was played last Monday. This match is organized at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. Bangladesh won the championship by defeating Nepal 3-1 here. Sabina Khatun of Bangladesh was the best player and highest scorer in this tournament. He scored a total of eight goals including two hat-tricks. However, a separate award is being given for him.

Sports Minister of Bangladesh received them there. Thousands of people were waiting at the airport since morning. There is no need to say that the whole Bangladesh is floating in the tide of euphoria after this team won.
Standing at the airport on Wednesday, Bangladesh Football Federation Vice President Ataur Rahman said, ‘This success of the girls has made the whole country proud. Made us proud. I am very happy with their success. I announced a prize of 50 lakh taka for girls on behalf of my company Tama Group.’
On the other hand, a notification has been issued by BCB saying that this is the first time that the Bangladesh women’s football team has won the SAFF championship. Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a financial reward of 50 lakhs for this team.
Besides, BCB president Nazmul Hasan said, ‘It is definitely a historic win. The women’s football team has made the entire country proud by performing brilliantly. Financial rewards have been announced to encourage this team. This success will inspire the whole country in the future.’
It should be noted that the Hudkhola bus was ready at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday. Every member of the football team, including Sabina, Sanjida, became ordinary people as soon as they came out of the airport. After that, the players were loaded on the bus and brought to the Bangladesh Football Federation building in Motijheel. They were received there by BAUF President Kazi Salauddin.
