Two motorcycle riders were killed in a bus crash in Barisal’s Bakerganj upazila. According to the police, the accident took place at the Nimtala bus stand area of ​​Charadi Union of the upazila at around 7:30 am on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Nazmul Mallick (20) son of Nanna Mallick and Rabbi Gazi (21) son of Jasim Gazi of the same village. Nazmul Barisal is a first year honors student of Govt Brajmohan (BM) College. On the other hand, Rabbi used to work as a salesman of Bengal Biscuits.

Charadi union member of the 7th ward about the accident. Lokman Hossain Mridha said that a sea transport bus was going from Charkaua bus stand to Goma Ferry Ghat. At this time, Nazmul and Rabbi left for Barisal city by motorcycle from the house of Santoshdi village. On reaching the Nimtala bus stand area of ​​Charadi Union, a bus and a motorcycle collided head on. Two seriously injured youths were rescued and sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared them dead.

Bakerganj police station SI Aminul Islam said that the bus driver fled after the accident. Police impounded the bus. Rabbi was coming to work on a motorcycle and Nazmul was going to BM College with Rabbi.
