Three teachers along with the secretary of an examination center have been arrested for allegedly leaking the question papers of the ongoing SSC examination at Bhurungamari in Kurigram. A case has been filed in this incident.

Upazila Fisheries Officer Adam Malik Chowdhury, tag officer in charge of the center, filed the case on Tuesday night.

In this incident, the police arrested the principal teacher of Nehal Uddin Girls High School and the secretary of the examination center, Lutfar Rahman, the assistant teachers of the same school, Yobair Hossain and Russell Mia.

After the complaint, Dinajpur Education Board Chairman Prof. Kamrul Islam, Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rezaul Karim and Police Superintendent Al Asad on Tuesday night from 8:00 to 12:00. Mahfuzul Islam held a meeting at Bhurungamari police station and UNO office for four hours. At the end of the meeting the case was made.

However, it has been alleged that the upazila secondary education officer Abdur Rahman, who was involved in question leak, was excluded from the case. Apart from this, it is alleged that due to his negligence the questions were leaked – the tag officer in charge of that center, Upazila Fisheries Officer Adam Malik Chowdhury has become the plaintiff in the case.

It is reported that on the day of the commencement of the current SSC examination, the question papers of the three science subjects along with the questions of the Bengali second paper, English first and second paper and English first paper were taken out from the police station locker. . These questions were handwritten and given to the students by the accused teachers before the examination. Students could get handwritten question papers on messenger, whatsapp and mail in exchange of money.

When the matter came to light on the day of the Bengali second paper examination, the local administration and examination officials tried to cover up the matter. But when the question leak in the English test came to the attention of many local people, the tag officer of the center complained to the police station.

Bhurungamari upazila secondary education officer was brought to the police station for questioning on the basis of this complaint. Later, Bhurungamari police station arrested the headmaster and central secretary of Nehal Uddin Girls High School, Lutfar Rahman, assistant teachers of the same school, Yobair Hossain and Russell Mia.

Dinajpur Education Board Chairman Prof. Kamrul Islam, Kurigram District Commissioner Mohammad Rezaul Karim and Superintendent of Police Al Asad came to the spot at Bhurungamari on Tuesday night around 8 o’clock. From there, the chairman of the education board went to the police station and interrogated the teachers and again went to the UNO office for Rudddar’s meeting. At that time, the meeting officials quickly left the place without talking to the media workers waiting in front of the office. At that time, the media workers tried to talk to them, but they remained unresponsive.

Later, Assistant Superintendent of Police of Bhurungamari Circle Morshedul Alam said that the case is being prepared in this regard. He also confirmed the arrest of three people.

He said that the investigation of the case is ongoing. Not much can be said yet. All will be informed when the case is settled.

Meanwhile, a source related to the examination said that the question paper had to be taken out from the police station locker under the signature of Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rahman. He will know how many packets of questions have come out. Some local teachers believe that he was initially questioned by the police but was spared in the case.

On the other hand, the question paper packet going to the center is opened in front of the tag officer in charge of the center. He definitely knew if there were more or less packet questions. Because of this, it is natural that he is also involved with the leak of the question paper. Because he opened all the packets from present. Even though there is such a complaint in his name, the responsible Tag Officer Upazila Fisheries Officer Adam Malik Chowdhury has been made the plaintiff in the case.

It is also known that three packets of science department question papers have been recovered on this day. However, for the sake of investigating the case, the police did not want to say anything about it.

Even though the two officers concerned are responsible for the question leak incident, the education officials are being criticized for saving them and filing the case. In this regard, Upazila secondary education officer Abdur Rahman said, I have nothing to do with all this. Those who have taken the question know.

After returning from the meeting, Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rezaul Karim said on the phone that you will know the decision of the board in the notice.

In this context, Kurigram Police Superintendent Al Asad said. Mahfuzul Islam said that the arrested three are in the police station. Today they will be produced in court and sent to jail.
