In Ishwarganj of Mymensingh, a jhalmuri seller named Abdul Hannan (40) was seriously injured after breaking the door of a residence in Ishwarganj of Mymensingh.
The incident took place in Char village of Kumuria in Maizbagh union of the upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
It is reported that Abdul Hannan’s eight-year-old son Yachin had a quarrel with his neighbor Zakir Hossain’s 14-year-old son Palash over drinking water in front of the shop next to the house. Later Palash’s mother Rina Begum told her other son Eamon (24) about the beating. After hearing about the killing of his mother, Iman became enraged and attacked Abdul Hannan’s house with his father Zakir and other brothers with machetes and sticks. At that time, when the victim’s wife closed the door of Lipi Akhtar’s house, he broke the door and entered the house and stabbed both the husband and wife and seriously injured them. At that time, when other family members went to rescue them, they were also beaten up. The injured are Monowara Begum (65), Ripon Mia (28).
In that situation, local residents rescued the injured and took them to Ishwarganj Upazila Hospital. If their condition worsened there, they were sent to Mymensingh Medical Hospital for better treatment.
Manowara Begum, the mother of the injured Hannan, said that Zakir, Zakir’s wife and their sons attacked my son’s house with sticks, rods and sticks and broke the door of the house and seriously injured the son and his wife. At that time, when I went to return them, they also beat me.
Neighbor Saruj Mia said, hearing Hannan’s screams, he saw Hannan and his wife being severely beaten. In that situation, I managed to rescue them and send them to the hospital.
Ishwarganj police station officer-in-charge Pirzada Sheikh Mohammad Mostachinur Rahman said that no complaint has been received in such an incident. I will take legal action if I get a complaint.
