Rajshahi: 19 people are currently undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College (Ramek) Hospital due to dengue disease. Among them, 12 have been admitted in the last 24 hours.
According to the emergency department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, the number of dengue patients has suddenly increased. And most of them are coming from Rooppur and Dhaka in Pabna.
13 people were admitted to this hospital in the last 24 hours from Monday to Tuesday 8 am. 19 people are under treatment. 10 patients have recovered and returned home on Tuesday.
Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani, director of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said that dengue fever patients have been kept in 4 wards. Out of 19 patients under treatment, 1 is in ICU. The condition of the rest is improving.
Doctors said that most of the victims are residents of Pabna district. All of them have visited Dhaka recently. However, none of the residents of Rajshahi metropolis has been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. The director of Ramek Hospital said that he is cautious about this.
