Sirajul Islam Chowdhury commented that capitalism is destroying all the achievements of human civilization. He said, in Bangladesh, a literary award was given to a person who is accused in a murder case. His son recommended him and got him an award. Last time another person was awarded, whose name no one had heard of. All these are the violence of capitalism. Bangladesh is a bureaucratic capitalist state. He also said, ‘Bureaucracy is the enemy of literature, because capitalism is behind it. The world is being destroyed by the devil of capitalism. Defeating capitalism is the work of literature and culture lovers. It needs support, it needs association. The library should be turned into a center of culture, where there will be debate-drama-singing-sports. The youth movement should also be added to this. It is the duty of all of us to create cultural awakening across the country.’
Sirajul Islam Chowdhury referred to the fight against capitalism as the ‘real fight’ and said that there has been a stunning development of civilization in the capitalist system. But the violence of capitalism is destroying the world today. Destroying the nature and biodiversity and the earth is now unfit for human habitation. Capitalism is the biggest enemy in today’s world. There is no denying that literature is in dire straits. Technology is not responsible for this danger, but rather the capitalist domination of technology has created this situation. Capitalism wants to separate people from people, wants to encourage luxury. The world is in danger today because of the violence of capitalism. This situation is not due to the development of science and technology, but due to the development of capitalism.
