RAB has arrested 29 robbers in various areas of the capital. At this time, the domestic weapons used in the robbery were recovered.
According to RAB, a robber named Arif Hossain (29) was chased after snatching a gold chain from the neck of a woman on Thursday night in Kamalapur area. At around 9:30 pm, husband Mitul Roy Roni was talking to his wife in a rickshaw in Kamalapur area. As the rickshaw was turning, a robber snatched the gold chain from Roni’s wife’s neck and ran away. Roni followed the robber after understanding the incident. When they fell in front of some RAB members, they caught the robber. Later RAB-3 members showed the gold chain to Roni and his wife.
Also, members of Ajna Party and bandit gang members Islam (22), Babu (27), Titu (20), Sharif (21), Nure Alam (22) conducted different raids in Shahjahanpur, Motijheel, Mugda, Paltan, Hatirjeheel and Tejgaon police stations of the capital. ), Muradil Mustakim aka Murad (19), Jalal (19), Hriday (18), Hossain aka Motu (19), Joy (19), Sumon (21), Yashin Rabbi (20), Titu (40), Paran ( 26), Russell (22), Jiban Sardar (21), Sukkur (20), Sagar Hossain (22), Masum Khan (19), Mihir Talukder (21), Hossain (22), Farooq (28), Mehdi Hasan Rana (24), Sujan (22), Julhas (30), Kabir Hossain (22), Dewan Ali (25) and Touhid Howlader (22). 18 mobile phones, 7 switch gears, 2 anti cutters, 6 blades, 1 scissor, knife, razor, poisonous ointment, gold chain and 324 rupees in cash were recovered from them.

He said that the initial interrogation of the accused revealed that the robbers kept moving around the bus stand and railway station areas of the capital. Targeting the passengers, sometimes holding them hostage at the mouth of indigenous weapons, sometimes trying to feed them with poisonous anesthetic drugs. Thus, taking away everything, they blend into the crowd. Apart from this, sometimes in the crowd, they take away everything by throwing poisonous ointment or pepper powder or poisonous spray on the eyes and face of the passengers. Victims are rarely able to identify these predatory members. As a result, robbers continue their crimes unabated.
RAB official Farzana Haque said that the organized robbers were roaming in different neighborhoods of the capital. As soon as they get a chance, they loot pedestrians, rickshaw pullers, CNG auto rickshaw passengers in traffic jams with sharp weapons. From dusk till dawn, robbers become reckless in relatively deserted roads, launch ghats, bus stands, railway station areas. They do not hesitate to inflict fatal injuries on innocent bystanders if interrupted in their robbery.
RAB said- Khilgaon, Malibagh Railgate, Dainik Bangla Mor, Pirjungi Mazar Crossing, Kamalapur Battala, Motijheel Calbert Road, Nasirer Tech Hatirjheel, Shahbagh, Gulbagh, Rajuk Crossing, UBL Crossing Paltan Mor, Golap Shahr Mazar Crossing, High Court Crossing, Abdul Gani Road , in front of Maniknagar Stadium, Nandipara Bridge, Basabo Crossing areas are more active from evening to early night. As a result of bringing these robbers under the law, there is relief among the pedestrians.
