Dhaka: In the last 24 hours, 145 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever.
This information was given in the dengue statement sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Friday (September 9).
It is said that in the last 24 hours, 145 new patients have been admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue fever. Among them, 140 dengue patients in Dhaka and five outside Dhaka are hospitalized. At present, a total of 933 dengue patients are hospitalized across the country. Among them, 770 patients are admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka and 163 patients are admitted outside Dhaka.
This year, from January 1 to September 9, the total number of patients admitted to various hospitals in the country is eight thousand and ninety-six. Among them, the total number of patients admitted in Dhaka is 6 thousand 588 and the number of patients admitted outside Dhaka is 1 thousand 508.
At the same time, the total number of discharged patients in the country is seven thousand 132. The number of discharged patients in Dhaka is 5 thousand 805 and the total number of patients discharged outside Dhaka is 1 thousand 327. There were no new deaths due to dengue in 24 hours. A total of 31 people have died due to dengue this year.
Last year, from January 1 to December 31, the number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital was 28,429. At the same time, 28 thousand 265 people returned home after recovery and 105 people died due to dengue.
