Queen Elizabeth came to Dhaka twice

Dhaka: British Queen Elizabeth II visited Dhaka twice. Before independence, he visited Bangladesh in the first round on 16 February 1961 and in the second round from 14-17 November 1983 in independent Bangladesh.

Queen Elizabeth has expressed her deep love for the people of this country during her two visits to Dhaka. He has played an active role for the education of underprivileged children in Bangladesh.

Queen Elizabeth came to Dhaka on February 16, 1961 during Pakistan period. At that time her husband Prince Philip also came to Dhaka with her. They stayed at the Rashtriya Guest House Suganga in Ramana Park. Now that building is known as the Foreign Service Academy.

At that time, Queen Elizabeth was sailing on a steamer in Buriganga river. When she was in Nau Bihar, thousands of people on both banks of the Buriganga waved to welcome the queen. He also visited Seva’s Adamji Jute Mill. He was interested to see how jute milled chat was produced.

Queen Elizabeth visited independent Bangladesh on November 14-17, 1983. At that time, he visited Bairagirchala Adarsh ​​Village and Primary School in the remote area of ​​Sreepur Municipality of Gazipur. He wanted to go to the village and see the culture of the village. He also saw how mudri is fried there.

Bangladesh’s relationship with Queen Elizabeth is very deep. Queen Elizabeth congratulated Bangladesh on its golden jubilee. He wished prosperity and welfare of Bangladesh.

Every year on the Queen’s birthday, the heads of government of Bangladesh have come to wish her. Meanwhile, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep grief over Rani’s death.

This year, June 4 marks the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne. Various events were organized around the world on this occasion. Now even after the death of the queen, the world is mourning.

It should be noted that Queen Elizabeth died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Thursday (08 September) around 5 pm local time. His body will be flown from Scotland to London on Friday.
