Raju Goala, President of Sylhet Valley Tea Workers Union, spoke after Shyamli Goala. He demanded a separate quota for the children of tea workers in employment, higher education opportunities and gratuity system.

Apart from this, Raju Goala demanded that the Prime Minister himself would form an inquiry committee to identify the problems of the tea workers and take measures to eliminate them.

At the end of his speech, the Prime Minister assured that the citizens will provide various facilities including education, treatment and accommodation to the tea workers.

The Prime Minister also became very emotional after hearing the tearful speech of the tea workers.

He said, “I have no parents. you are my everything All your demands will be fulfilled.”

A few hours before the start of the meeting, the tea workers appeared in the Chandichara garden field with their own garden banner festoons. There was a festive atmosphere in the tea gardens for the past few days centered around the Prime Minister’s meeting.

Tea workers of 24 gardens, garden authorities along with leaders of Chunarughat Upazila Awami League and allied organizations were present in the event.

State Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism was present at this time. Mahbub Ali, Habiganj District Awami League President Member of Parliament. Abu Zahir, Member of Parliament Advocate Abdul Majid Khan, Awami League Central Committee Member and District Parishad Administrator Dr. Mushfiq Hossain Chowdhury, Habiganj Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Jahan, Superintendent of Police SM Murad Ali, Chunarughat Upazila Chairman Abdul Qadir Lashkar.
