A 10-day Bangladesh painting exhibition has started in the Himalayan country of Nepal. Nepal Academy Chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti inaugurated the exhibition last Friday (September 2) at the Siddhartha Art Gallery in the country’s capital, Kathmandu.

In a circular on Saturday (September 3), Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu has organized an exhibition titled ‘Spirit of Friendship’ as part of the celebration of the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Nepal.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions of various countries in Nepal and representatives of civil society of Nepal.

Curated by traditional Bangladeshi painter Kanak Champa Chakma, the exhibition showcases the paintings of Ajmir Hossain, Biswajit Goswami, Saurabh Chowdhury, Mong Mong Sho, Lumbini Dewan, Jaytu Chakma, Angthwai Marma, Sudeep Chakma, Namsta Rema, Munna Bom and Pinku Tripura.
