Agreement between Bank Asia and Bangladesh Development Bank

An agreement has been signed between Bank Asia and Bangladesh Development Bank to expand remittance services. Bank Asia President and Managing Director (Current Duties) Adil Chowdhury and Bangladesh Development Bank Managing Director and CEO Kazi Alamgir signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions at the signing ceremony held at Bank Asia Tower in Karwan Bazaar of the capital recently.

Under this agreement, Bank Asia will use BDBL’s banking channel (branch network) to provide remittance services through Western Union. BDBL Bank as a sub-agent of Asia will provide remittance services to customers across the country.

Bank Asia Deputy Managing Director SM Iqbal Hossain and Alamgir Hossain, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of MSME. Shaminur Rahman, Senior Vice President and Head of Foreign Remittance Department Golam Gaffer Imtiaz Chowdhury, BDBL General Manager Paritosh Sarkar, Deputy General Manager Md. Mahbub Morshed Khan, Western Union Country Manager Noor Elahi and Head of Operations Shihab Hassan were present on the occasion.
