The body of Assistant Revenue Officer (ARO) of Customs Department Abdullah Hill Kafi was recovered two days after he went missing. Customs officer Belal Chowdhury gave this information on social media Facebook on Saturday afternoon.

Belal Chowdhury wrote on Facebook, “He didn’t come back!: The dead body of Assistant Revenue Officer Abdullah Hill Kafi was found floating in Ghazipura area of ​​Sandhya River. ‘

Abdullah Hill Kafi fell into Sandhya river after slipping from Bekutia ferry in Pirojpur last Thursday night. Divers could not find him for a long time. Everyone expected Kafi to come back alive. Allah’s decision is different. ARO Kafi joined Customs Service in 2014 through PSC. He is the son of customs family. His father Kefaytullah and uncle Mohsin both served as inspectors in the department and retired as assistant commissioners. Both are dead.

Customs revenue officer said in this regard. Tariqul Islam told Dhaka Times, ‘I heard that divers recovered his body on Saturday afternoon. I am now in Dhaka. And his body is in Pirojpur.’

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station of Pirojpur. Masuduzzaman told Dhaka Times that last Thursday, Kofi was going to Pirojpur from Satkhira. At around 9:30 p.m., he disappeared after falling from the ferry into the river. Later on Saturday around 12 noon divers recovered his body from Vecutia ferry ghat. We have handed over his body to the family without post-mortem.
