India hopes Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s upcoming visit to Delhi will establish multifaceted relations between the two countries, including historical and cultural ties, mutual trust and understanding. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India on September 5-8 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier, the Prime Minister visited India in 2019.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said that the media will be informed about the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to India very soon.

During her visit to India, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold bilateral talks with Indian President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Ministry of External Affairs said. Apart from this, Sheikh Hasina is also likely to visit Ajmer Sharif.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs said both sides have maintained high-level and highest-level engagement in recent times.

During the Prime Minister’s visit, the final MoU will be signed on the distribution of Kushiara river water.

Officials say that the commercial operation of the first unit of the ‘Maitri Super Thermal Power Plant’ will start in early October with the joint cooperation of Bangladesh and India.
