Youth and Sports Ministry Secretary Mejbah Uddin visited Chittagong Zoo.

On Wednesday (August 31) evening, he visited the zoo and praised the district administration after seeing 4 rare species of white tiger cubs of a tiger couple named Raj and Pari brought to the zoo from South Africa.

The tiger cubs have been named – Padma, Meghna, Halda and Sangu. Secretary Mejbah Uddin commented that the first white tiger born in Bangladesh in 2018 in the home of the same couple is a special attraction for tourists.

He said that there are currently 16 tigers in this zoo. Among them 5 rare species of white tiger which is a unique example. Apart from this, there are 620 species of 66 species including bear, lion, deer (chitra, sambar, maya), owl, monkey, mechho cat, cheetah, python, ostrich, emu bird, jackal, crocodile, peacock, horse, buck and tiya. . Chittagong Zoo won the Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal in 2019 as a team for its sound management.

Before visiting the zoo, Mejbah Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports attended a function at Hotel Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View as the chief guest. Later he exchanged views with the leaders of Chittagong District Sports Association.
