Rajshahi: It has been decided to shift the Shiroil Bus Terminal to the Central Bus Terminal at Noodapara to decongest the Rajshahi metropolis. Instead of Shiroil bus terminal, all inter-district and long-distance buses will ply from Noodapara central bus terminal.

This decision will be effective on November 1.

A meeting was held in this regard with Awami League presidium member and Rajshahi City Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at Nagar Bhaban at noon on Thursday (September 1).

The final decision was taken in this meeting of leaders of Rajshahi district administration, RDA, RMP, Rajshahi Road Transport Group, District Motor Workers Union, District Truck and Curved Van Owners Association. The meeting also discussed about bringing order to the movement of battery-powered auto-rickshaws in the city.

Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abu Kalam Siddique, Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Md. Anwar Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of Rajshahi City Corporation. ABM Sharif Uddin, Secretary. Moshiur Rahman, RDA Chief Executive Officer Abu Hayat. Rahmatullah, RMP DC (Traffic) Anirban Chakma, Chief Revenue Officer Abu Saleh. Noor-e-Sayed, Executive Engineer Mechanical Ahmed Al Moin Parag, Rajshahi Road Transport Group President Shahnewaz Ali, General Secretary Motiul Haque Titu, Rajshahi District Motor Workers Union President Jahangir Alam, Rajshahi District Truck and Curved Van Owners Association President Abul Kalam, General Editor Mokhleshur Rahman was present.
