Youth gangs are once again on the rise in Barisal city and district upazilas. A quorum of juvenile gangs has formed in Barisal city under different names based on area. Criminal horrors can quickly get out of control.
Youth gangs are developing criminal activities in the city under the umbrella of the party or under the name of the leaders. Most of them are school and college students whose age is sixteen to twenty four twenty five years.
Youth gang members are seen riding motorcycles across the city. Eve teasing and stealing girls is their daily work. Blackmailing people by photographing them. They don’t stop here. The members of this teenage gang are spreading drug poison in Oligli of Barisal city. Many of them have been arrested at different times, but after getting out on bail, they are seen doing the same activities again.
Barisal Biman Bandar police arrested three people after getting information about the robbery of youth gang members in Gariyapar area last (August 30).
Police Station OC Investigation Aman Ullah Al Bari said that when members of the juvenile gang robbed them on Tuesday, they immediately arrested three of them. The arrested are, member of the juvenile gang, Nurul Haji (17). Maruf (16) Agrajit (17). He also said that there is still a fugitive in this incident.
The OC investigation of the airport police station also said that our operation against juvenile gangs is always going on and no one can get away with the crime.

Talking to the parents of several school-college students, they said that if the administration finds these boys on the streets after evening and arrests them and the Guardian informs them, the chatter of juvenile gangs will reduce a lot. They also feel that the administration needs to be monitored during the day.
In this regard, Kaunia Police Station Officer-in-Charge A.R. Abdur Rahman Mukul (PPM Service) said that if our daily patrolling police see youths ganging up somewhere in the evening in Jinjasabad, we inform them about the Guardian and hand them over to them.
