Freezing ambulance in Rajshahi

Freezing Ambulance service of Quantum Foundation has been launched in Rajshahi. The program was inaugurated at Nagar Bhaban on Wednesday (31 August) around 2 pm.

Awami League presidium member and Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton inaugurated the program.

According to Quantum Foundation sources, the service of freezing ambulance can be obtained through the hotline number (01914 999446). Anyone can avail this service by paying the fixed fare. But poor families will get free service.

Rasik Mayor said, ‘During Corona, we saw that children fled leaving the dead bodies of their parents. At that time all the cremation, burial etc. was done by Quantum Foundation, which is highly commendable.’

He also said, ‘Until now there was a shortage of freezing ambulances carrying corpses in Rajshahi. This is the first time in Rajshahi that there is a freezing ambulance carrying a dead body. One such vehicle is also in the works of the city corporation. But the Quantum Foundation came up with it before us. Thanks and gratitude to them for that.’

Qaiser Parvez Mehdi, director of Rajshahi region of Quantum Foundation, said that 1500 rupees should be paid for the freezing ambulance service within Rajshahi city. With waiting charge 300 rupees per hour. If you go outside Rajshahi city, you will have to pay a charge of 70 rupees per kilometer. But poor families will get this freezing ambulance service for free.
