BRAC University remembers Sadi Mohammad

BRAC University pays tribute to the memory of country’s eminent Rabindra Sangeet artiste Sadi Mohammed and offers condolences to his family.

On Thursday, a delegation from the university met the family of Sadi Mohammad at his residence in Mohammadpur of the capital. Meanwhile, the delegation inquired about the bereaved family and promised to stand by them.

In recognition of his ‘outstanding contribution’ to BRAC University, a condolence letter signed by the University’s Acting Vice-Chancellor was later handed over to Sadi Mohammed’s brother Ekushey Medalist popular dancer Shibli Mohammed and Major (retd) Shoaib Mohammed Tariqullah by Registrar David Dowland, Chairperson of the Department of Architecture Professor Zainab Farooqui Ali. Teaching Assistant Upma Das Neetu and Director of Office of Communications Khairul Bashar and Deputy Manager Iftekhar Omar.

In a press release, BRAC University said, Saadi Mohammed has served as a guest professor in the Department of Architecture at BRAC University. The BRAC University delegation spending some time with the family of Sadi Mohammed is an attempt to remember his contribution to architecture, music and culture.
