Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Sylhet. Two people were killed on the Sylhet-Bholaganj road and one on the Sylhet-Fenchuganj road.

On Thursday (April 25) at around 8:30 pm, a collision took place between a stone-carrying truck and a CNG auto-rickshaw in the area between Gourinagar and Khagail pumps of Companyganj upazila on the Sylhet-Bholaganj highway. 6 passengers of the autorickshaw were injured.

Partha Saha (23), son of Ranjit Saha of Bisharpasha village of Kamalakanda police station of Netrakona district, died on the spot in this accident. He lived in Dayarbazar, Companyganj.

When the remaining 5 people were taken to the Osmani Medical College Hospital in an injured state, the doctor on duty declared Harunur Rashid (40), son of Motalib Mia of Lubia village of Chatak Upazila of Sunamganj, as dead. The remaining 3 people are still undergoing treatment, said Golam Dastgir Ahmad, OC of Companyganj police station.

Meanwhile, an old man named Kasid Ali (60) was seriously injured after being hit by a Laguna (human hauler) in Shibbari Jainpur area of ​​South Surma on the Sylhet-Fenchuganj road around 10 pm on Thursday. Moglabazar Police Station OC Mosharraf Hossain said that when he was taken to Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
