Bangladesh Nationalist Dal (BNP) has expelled 9 leaders of BNP for life in the first phase of the upcoming upazila council elections in Sylhet division for contesting for the posts of chairman, vice chairman and female vice chairman. Today (Friday) they were expelled from the party in separate notices signed and sent by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The expelled are- Gauch Khan, former convenor of Sylhet’s Bishwanath Upazila BNP, United Kingdom BNP co-organizing secretary and Bishwanath Upazila BNP’s Cebul Mia, Bishwanath Upazila BNP’s women affairs secretary Swapna Begum Hena, Bishwanath’s Khajanchi Union BNP organizing secretary Abdur Rob Sarkar, Bishwanath Upazila volunteers. Kaushar Khan, joint secretary of the party, Sunamganj district women’s party vice-president and women’s affairs secretary of Dirai upazila BNP Pichar Chowdhury, Dirai upazila BNP organizing secretary of Sunamganj Golap Mia and Shalla upazila BNP president of Sunamganj Ganendra Chandra Das Baralekha upazila of Moulvibazar BNP organizing secretary and Moulvibazar Mahila Dal. General Secretary Rahela Begum Hasna. Sylhet district BNP president Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
