Dhaka-Colombo direct flight of Sri Lanka-based airlines FitsAir has started

Sri Lanka based airlines FitsAir has launched direct flights from Dhaka to Colombo.

Initially, two flights of this airline will arrive from Colombo to Dhaka twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. Again, Fitzair flights will go to Colombo from Dhaka on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Recently at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, FitsAir’s Dhaka-Colombo direct flight was officially inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal M., Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority. Mofidur Rahman.

Md. Bahauddin Mia, chief executive officer of FitsAir GSA Bengal Airlift Limited, said that the minimum fare for FitsAir Dhaka-Colombo return ticket is around Tk 32,000. Passengers will get 30 kg check-in baggage allowance and 7 kg hand baggage allowance.

FitsAir operates flights on this route with Airbus A-320 aircraft.

Currently, only Sri Lankan Airlines is operating flights on the Dhaka-Colombo route.

Currently, FitzAir is operating international flights from Colombo to Dhaka as well as Dubai, Male, Chennai route. The airline plans to launch flights to Bangkok in Thailand, Jakarta in Indonesia, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Singapore soon.

The airlines fleet currently consists of three Airbus A320-200, one ATR 72-200, one Cessna-208B Grand Caravan, two Cessna-152 and one Cessna-150 aircraft.
