Advisor to BNP Chairperson and former Opposition Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Zainul Abedin Farooq commented that Bangladesh did not become independent for accepting the slavery of Delhi.

Addressing India, he said, the people of Bangladesh are socially preparing to oppose you for hegemony, aggression, killing democracy. Because the people of Bangladesh fought barefoot to liberate the country in 1971, Rawal was freed from Pindi not to accept the slavery of Delhi.

On Friday (April 26) in front of the National Press Club, he said these things in a stand program in protest against the killing of Bangladeshi civilians and Indian aggression on the border by Democracy Forum.

Zainul Abedin Farooq also said in the position program, I saw in a newspaper that 527 products of India were found to be poisoned. The European Union has banned them. In another paper, two of their drugs were found to contain cancer compounds. Singapore, Hong Kong have stopped them. Even today, one person was shot dead at the border, he said, if you are a friend, if you are our beloved person, if you are our neighbor, then why are you always shooting at the border? So today the people of Bengal, the people of Bangladesh have started fighting for democracy.

This leader of BNP also said that we are not against the people of India, we want to be friends of India. But a friend who exploits us, a friend who does not give us a fair share of tipi, can he be a friend? Can never be friends. So we want to boycott Indian products and say, stop border killings, avoid aggressive policy, stop naked interference in Bangladesh politics. Because there will be democracy in your country, and you will make sure that there is no democracy in my country, the people of Bengal will never accept it.

At that time he said to the activists that we do not accept aggression, we do not accept border killings, we will boycott Indian products and this social movement should be delivered from house to house.

Addressing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, he said, “Aren’t you ashamed?” As the ruling party said, there is a conspiracy of BNP in all cases. Do we want to come to power by conspiracy? You (Awami League) came to power by conspiracy. You created One Eleven. With Moin-Fakhruddin, you have fought in the darkness of the night. We (BNP) do not believe in conspiracy. My leader does not believe in conspiracies. My leader Tariq Rahman wants to come to power, one head one vote, with the people, not by conspiracy.

BNP organizing secretary Abdus Salam said, every year we receive two or three dead bodies from the border. The Modi government is the leader of a wild community. This Modi has killed thousands of Muslims in India. Our government has made friends with this Modi government. In 2008, about 6600 leaders and activists of our party were killed and disappeared under the leadership of ESRkar. Modi government is killing at the border and Sheikh Hasina is doing all our murders, disappearances, torture, oppression, assault cases inside.

BNP executive committee member Abu Naser Md. Rahmatullah said, India talks about so-called cooperation to Bangladesh and kills people on the border. The present government of Bangladesh has killed the country’s democracy and India has supported it. People of Bangladesh have no grudge against Indian people but grudge against Indian government because they want to prolong the democratic problem of our Bangladesh. We oppose the mentality that India harbors against democracy in our country, not the people of India.

Alhajj VP Ibrahim, President of Democracy Forum, was also present in the program of the position. Maulana Kazi Abul Hossain, joint convenor of Tati Dal Kazi Moniruzzaman, member of fishermen’s group Ismail Hossain Sirazi, joint general secretary of Krishak Dal Mofizur Rahman Liton, secretary of Shilpa Kuti Affairs Abdullah Al Naeem, president of Yuva Jagpa Amir Hossain Amu and others.
