Homener Bagha Sharif of Comilla became the champion in the 115th edition of Abdul Jabbar volleyball at Laldighi Maidan in Chittagong.

He became the champion after defeating Comilla Sadar’s Rashed Bali on Thursday afternoon.

Azam Nashir Uddin, former mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, inaugurated the ball game of this event at 4:30 pm. 80 people from different parts of the country participated in the ball competition.

Srijan Chakma of Khagrachari won the third place in the competition. Russell Boli of Chittagong Sitakunda Upazila came fourth.

35 winners of the first round were awarded a prize of 2 thousand rupees each. The champion is given a prize money of 30 thousand rupees and a crest. The runner-up is given a prize money of Tk 20,000 and a crest.

A total of 80 contestants participated in this competition.

ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jatiya Sangsad on Ministry of Railways, was present as the chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners.
