In Mymensingh, teachers who insulted religion are in jail

A case has been filed against Sunil Chandra Ghosh, a biology teacher of Shambhuganj GKP Degree College, Mymensingh, for sharing posts and comments on social media Facebook calling Islam a ‘sexual religion’. In that case, the accused Sunil Chandra Ghosh has been arrested by the district intelligence police. This accused was sent to jail through the Chief Judicial Court of Mymensingh in the case related to Kotwali Model Police Station yesterday afternoon.

Earlier, Shambhuganj Baitul Aman Jame Mosque Imam Md. Qayyum became the plaintiff and filed the case at Kotwali Model Police Station. Later, the DB police raided and arrested Sunil Chandra Ghosh in that case. According to the police, teacher Sunil Chandra Ghosh is the son of Satendra Ghosh, a resident of Mahishdia village of Muktagachha upazila. But currently he was living in Baghmara area of ​​Mymensingh city.

The plaintiff in the case said that recently Sunil Chandra Ghosh shared a text titled ‘Babar Galatei Bier Mala Dil Pak Taruni’ from his own Facebook ID. Later, in the comments of this post, referring to the religion of Islam, he wrote – ‘Sexual religion says brother, it is sexual religion’. The organization of Fatwabaaz, Adam-Tadam are all stories made by fake imaginary people. Then, when this post, which hurt religious sentiments, went viral instantly, the devout Muslim people strongly criticized and protested against the post and made various comments. In this incident, a situation of extreme dissatisfaction and anger was created among the Muslims of Shambhuganj area.

At that time, the screenshots of the posts uploaded on Facebook along with the mobile phone used by him have been seized. Yesterday, Sunil Chandra Ghosh was sent to jail by the court.
