We are ashamed to see the progress of Bangladesh: Pak PM

--

Bangladesh gained independence from Pakistan in 1971 through the Great Liberation War. Because of this, Bangladesh had to fight a bloody war for 9 months. Earlier Bangladesh and Pakistan were part of the same country. At that time there were two territories known as East and West Pakistan. At that time, West Pakistan exploited and tortured East Pakistan in many ways.

In 1971, a small number of Bengali people jumped into the freedom war to get rid of exploitation and torture. Bangladesh gained independence after 9 months of struggle. Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of that exploited country, Pakistan, praised Bangladesh. He said, we are ashamed to see the progress of Bangladesh. This information was informed in a report of Fastpost on Thursday (April 25).

Shahbaz Sharif said, Bangladesh was considered a burden for us when it was part of Pakistan. This part was said to be ‘a burden on Pakistan.’ But with the passage of time, that burden has now greatly improved in terms of economics. As a result, we feel ashamed when we look at Bangladesh. Because even though Bangladesh has advanced, Pakistan is still far behind.

During an exchange with Pakistani business leaders on Wednesday, he said, “I was very young at that time.” We were told that Bangladesh was a burden. But today everyone knows where that burden has reached economically. We are now ashamed to look at Bangladesh.

Earlier, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan warned that the current situation in Pakistan could lead to another ‘Dhaka tragedy’. At the same time, Imran Khan mentioned the ongoing economic crisis of the country and said that no country can survive without a stable economy.

Pakistan is suffering from severe economic crisis. At the same time, there is a political crisis. General elections were held in the country last February, but the crisis has not been resolved. Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) failed to form the government despite winning the single largest number of seats in the elections.

Meanwhile, the media reported that Pakistan is not even close to Bangladesh in many aspects, not only economy. Bangladesh has made a lot of progress in 50 years of independence through the great liberation war in 1971. The court of the world has become a role model for development. It is also claimed by the government that many countries are following Bangladesh for development.

The issue of Bangladesh always comes up in the politics of Pakistan at different times. Earlier, even the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, made explosive comments about the Pakistan Army. He said that their army is torturing the people of the country like 1971.
