However, intelligence sources have confirmed that the questions were leaked on the day of the exam itself. The Directorate of Primary Education itself was aware of the leak. After that the exam was conducted on that question and the result was declared on 21st April. In the meantime, five people of the question paper leak gang have been kept under intelligence surveillance. On the basis of intelligence, the Intelligence-Cyber ​​and Special Crime Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has started an investigation into the entire incident.

According to sources related to the investigation, so far it has been confirmed that the question papers were leaked in five centers of Madaripur district on the day of the examination. In return for money, the exam-taking members of the circle take pictures of the question papers as soon as the exam begins and send them to the solving group outside the circle. It is then quickly resolved and delivered to the center through the device to the students who receive the money or contract. In the meantime, at least five people including Jyotirmoy Gain, Sujan Chandra Roy, one of the masterminds of the question paper leak cycle, have been kept under intelligence surveillance. Jyotirmoy is a resident student of room number 224 of Jagannath Hall, Jyotirmoy Guhathakurta Bhavan and Sujan is a resident student of room no. 9008 of Santoshchandra Bhattacharya Bhawan of the same hall.

Question papers solved in Jagannath Hall of DU: According to sources related to the investigation, an ‘office’ consisting of a group of talented students was opened to quickly solve the leaked question papers of the Primary Teacher Recruitment (Phase III) examination. This office was opened on March 29 at 10 a.m. before the commencement of the examination in room number 224 of Jyotirmoy Gain, Jyotirmoy Guhathakurta Bhawan, Jagannath Hall, Dhaka University. Under his leadership, a group of talented students including Sujan Chandra Roy, Roni Biswas were in charge of solving the question papers. They quickly solved it and sent it to the designated candidates at the center through Asim Gain’s mobile phone.

An official of DB’s cyber crime department said that the gang had already taken cash, bank checks and blank checks from the examinees. Solved question papers are sent mainly to those from whom this money or check has been taken. Circle members provide devices to pre-contracted students.

The official said, the amount of money taken by the gang members and to how many people after solving the leak question, is yet to be ascertained. These information will come out in the interrogation after their arrest.

Leaked questions in five centers of Madaripur: Meanwhile, it has been found that a group of students took the exam based on the solutions of leaked questions in five examination centers of Madaripur. On March 29, teachers in charge of the center detained eight examinees. Later, the leaked question paper solutions and devices were seized in the presence of the Magistrate in charge. In that incident, Rezaul Karim, Senior Assistant of the District Primary Education Office, filed a case as the plaintiff in Madaripur Sadar Police Station.

It is said in the statement of the case, during the recruitment examination in 18 examination centers in Madaripur, some candidates participated in the examination by writing the answer sheets in the message option on the electronic device (used mobile) to achieve ulterior motives in the written examination. Among them, Noman Ahmed (26) from Madaripur Sadar Kulpadvi High School Centre, Sanjay Roy (32) from Madaripur Government College Examination Centre, Sathi Akhter (30) from Sadar Alhaj Amin Uddin High School Centre, Trishna Bala (29), Shamsunnahar Bhuiyan Girls High School. Mukti Barai (26) from the school, Durga Howladar (32), Nipa Baidya (27) and Shikha Kirtanya (32) were arrested from Julio Kuri High School center in Sadar. Based on the information obtained during their interrogation, fugitives Asim Gain (45) and Ujjwal Sarkar (32) were made accused.

It is said in the statement, that during the interrogation of the accused in the custody of the Madaripur District Detective Branch (DB) police, it is known that they are in connivance with the circle of providing exam answers through mobile phone messages in a fraudulent manner in the assistant teacher recruitment examination. The detained examinees entered the examination center with mobile phones and got the answers to the questions through mobile messages during the examination and were detained by the room inspectors and learned executive magistrates assigned to the examination center while writing them on the answer sheet.

Director General of Primary Education Directorate Shah Rezwan Hayat did not answer the phone when contacted to know why the examination was not canceled despite getting information about question paper leak.

However, the secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Farid Ahmed said that they do not have any information that the question papers have been leaked. He also said that he was not aware of the detention of some candidates while giving the exam in some centers of Madaripur after seeing the solution of the leaked questions. Don’t even know about the case in that incident.

He said that District Administrators (DCs) are the presidents of examination committees in districts. No one informed about the incident in Madaripur from there.

3 lakh 49 thousand 293 candidates of 21 districts of Dhaka and Chittagong division (except three hilly districts) participated in this examination.
