Low income people are looking for relief in the shade of trees and cold environment in search of a little peace. As the day progressed, the movement of people on the road became limited. Many others are going out to work ignoring the extreme heat for urgent needs and livelihood.

Earlier, thunderstorms and gusty winds started at 1:20 am on Tuesday. The storm lasted for about an hour. Rainfall was recorded at 1.6 millimeters during this time.

The highest temperature recorded in the district on Tuesday was 39.6 degrees Celsius before the rains. In other words, the temperature of this district increased by two degrees Celsius after the rain.

Jaminur Rahman, in-charge of Chuadanga First Class Meteorological Observatory, said that the highest temperature in the country has been prevailing in Chuadanga for the past one week. A heat alert has been issued in the district. Among them, the temperature mercury is fluctuating at a maximum of 40 to 42.4 degrees.

This situation will remain throughout the month of April. He also said that the temperature will increase.

Chuadanga Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kissinger Chakma said, everyone has been instructed to follow the heat alert.
