Bangladesh has participated in the Japan IT Week, which is known as the meeting place of the information technology sector in Asia, with the cooperation of the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority. This fair, which started from Wednesday at the Tokyo Bigsite in Japan, will continue until April 26. 21 member organizations of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) are participating in the fair.

According to sources, 16 IT companies that are members of the Japan IT Week Basis will exhibit their services at the Bangladesh Pavilion. The companies are: Nasenia Limited, Brain Station 23 plc, Kawai Advanced Technology and Solutions Limited, BJIT Limited, DreamOnline Limited, Attrabit ICT Solutions, Edusoft Consultants Limited, Baynet Solutions Limited, Francher Technologies Limited, STITBD, Penta Global Limited, Nanosoft Systems, Hello World Communications Ltd., BDKling IT Ltd., Intellier Ltd. and Revo Interactive.

Five BASIS member institutions are participating as visitors on the first day. They are: Pridesys IT Limited, Deshlink Limited, QA Harbor Limited, Bitex Technologies Limited and Hyper Tag Solutions Limited.

BASIS Director and BASIS Japan Desk Chairman AKM Ahmadul Islam Babu coordinated the overall arrangements for participation in Japan IT Week from Bangladesh.

According to the BASIS Secretariat, BASIS members participating in this trade show in Japan will participate in B2B meetings, seminars, and networking events to expand business with different countries. In addition, participating stalls will highlight the capabilities of Bangladesh’s IT sector by informing BASIS members about IT products and services and branding the IT sector of Bangladesh. Besides, this meeting will play an important role in creating a bond between investors and IT professionals.

Japan IT Week 2024 titled ‘Digital Bangladesh: Your IT Destination’ was organized on Wednesday as part of the fair. Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed gave a welcome speech at the seminar. Papers were presented in the seminar by Ariful Haque, Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in Japan and Rezwanur Kabir, COO of Destiny Inc. Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director GSM Zafarullah, NDC gave further speech.

It was said in the seminar that Bangladesh is the next destination for investors in the field of information technology. Bangladeshi IT companies are capable of providing products and services according to any international demand. Bangladesh’s success in the international software and app market is also enviable.
