Daughter dies of knife attack while ruling in Bogra, father arrested

In Kahalu of Bogra, the father was ruling his daughter because she was not doing her studies properly. At one point the father hit the daughter with his bag. Meanwhile, the knife in the bag entered the stomach of the girl Rahmani (6). Rahmani was declared dead by the doctor when he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The incident took place in Saghatia village of the upazila on Tuesday (April 23) morning. Police arrested the child’s father, Abdur Rahim (40). The deceased Rahmani Fazil was a first class student of the Ibtedayi branch of the Degree Madrasa.

According to police and local sources, Abdur Rahim works to surround the pond with a net. For this he kept a sharp knife in his bag. Abdur Rahim was disciplining his daughter Rahmani for not studying on Tuesday morning. At one stage, Rahim hit Rahmani with his bag. At this time, the sharp knife in the bag entered Rahmani’s stomach. Rahmani was first taken to Kahalu Upazila Health Complex and later to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for urgent treatment. The doctor on duty there declared Rahmani dead.

Kahalu police station officer-in-charge (OC) Selim Reza said that the father of the dead child was arrested and brought to the police station. First we got the truth of the incident. Legal action is pending.
