The district police has made arrangements to supply safe water for the police and pedestrians in Bogra to combat the severe fire.

A safe water booth was set up in front of Mujib Manch at Satmatha in the city on Tuesday at 11:30 am.

District Superintendent of Police (promoted to the post of Additional DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty inaugurated this booth at the initiative of the District Police.

At this time, he said, people’s life is becoming miserable due to the great pressure. So this little initiative has been taken by the district police. It is really impossible for a policeman to stand duty for 8 to 10 hours in scorching heat in uniform. These members of the traffic are doing immense hardship for the country and people. Food saline, water and juice have been distributed to relieve their fatigue. Also, pedestrians traveling in the city can drink water from here to quench their thirst. District police do this every year. We are and will always be with people. We will continue this activity as long as the heat wave lasts.

District Police Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Abdur Rashid, Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Sharafat Islam, Suman Ranjan, Sadar Police Incharge (OC) Saihan Oliullah, Investigation Officer Shahinuzzaman and other police officials were present.
