Husband Hriday Howladar (25) has been accused of murdering his wife Lamiya Khatun (22) in Nalchiti, Jhalkathi. In this incident, the accused husband has been detained by the police for questioning.

The incident took place in Subidpur area of ​​Subidpur Union of Upazila on Tuesday (23 April) morning. Accused Hriday Howlader is the son of Ali Akbar Howlader of that area. He worked as a day laborer.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Murad Ali of Nalchiti police station confirmed the matter.

Lamiya’s Khalu Kalam Khan said that on Monday around 2 am, Hridiya called Lamiya’s father and said that your daughter is sick, he will take her in the morning. Later that night they went to that house and found Lamiya dead. We think he was beaten to death. Later in the morning, police recovered the body after informing the police.

Bulu Begum, the mother-in-law of the deceased Lamia, said that around 1 am, my son’s wife fell ill and started burning in her body. He died later that night.

Murad Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchiti Police Station, said that the body was recovered and sent to Jhalkathi Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The victim’s husband has been detained for questioning. We have not received any complaints yet. If complaints are received, legal action will be taken after investigation.
