The Indian women’s cricket team stepped on the field of Sylhet to prepare for the World Cup. Team captain Harman Preet Kaur along with his partner left for the match venue Sylhet directly from India on Tuesday (April 23). BCB welcomed the Indian women’s team with flowers.
India’s squad includes Harmanpreet Kaur (captain), Smriti Mandana (vice-captain), Shefali Varma, Dayalan Hemalta, Sajana Sajivan, Richa Ghosh (wicketkeeper), Yashtika Bhatia (wicketkeeper), Radha Yadav, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Amanjot Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, Saika Ishaq, Asha Sovana, Renuka Singh and Titas Sadhu.

In September-October of this year, the ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in Bangladesh. For that purpose, India will play five T20 matches against the host Bangladesh. All the matches of the tour will be held in Sylhet. India-Bangladesh preparation match will start with the 1st T20 match on April 28. After that, the second match will be played on the ground on April 30. Both the matches will be held day-night. It will be built in the field at 6:30 in the evening. Then Bangladesh-India will meet in the third and fourth T20I of the series on May 2 and 6. The matches will be at 2 pm. The last match of the series will be a day-night match. That match will also be played in the field at 6 pm. The Indian women’s cricket team will end their tour of Bangladesh with that match on May 9. This Indian team visited Bangladesh in July last year as well. They played three ODI and T20 matches each in that tour. India won the T20I by 2-1 but lost the ODI series trophy 1-1.
