Next June, West Indies and USA will host T20 World Cup. Bangladesh is going to play a series against Zimbabwe at home to prepare themselves before the World Cup. Where two teams will play a five-match T20 series.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday (April 23) announced the 17-man initial squad for the preparation camp ahead of the upcoming series against Zimbabwe. Where pacer Mustafizur Rahman and former captain Shakib Al Hasan were not kept.

Pacer Mustafiz is the sole representative of Bangladesh in this year’s IPL. Where the cutter master Fizz is playing for Chennai Super Kings. BCB has given leave to this left-handed pacer till May 1. And Shakib is not in the initial camp because he has family in the United States.

This preparatory camp will be held from April 26 to 28. After that, the series against Zimbabwe will begin on May 3 at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The next two T20s are in Chittagong on May 4 and 7. After that, the last two matches of the series will be held on May 10 and 12 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
