The government of the country has allocated two plots of total 4 thousand square meters to Bangladesh for the construction of the embassy building in Kuwait. Since April 1974, Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait has been operating. After a long wait, there was a place to set up an embassy in its own land.

On the historic day of Mujibnagar Day, the Kuwaiti authorities received two plots of 4,000 square meters totaling 3,000 square meters for Bangladesh Embassy Chancery Building and 1,000 square meters for Bangladesh House in Egypt diplomatic zone on the basis of mutual exchange.

Ambassador of Bangladesh Major General (retd) appointed to Kuwait. Ashikuzzaman, NDC, AFWC, PSC, G, Defense Adviser Brigadier General Muhammad Hasan Uz-Zaman, Councilor and Head of Embassy Muhammad Moniruzzaman and senior officials of the embassy visited. At that time, he received two plots from the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

Bangladesh Press Club Kuwait President Moin Uddin Sarkar Sumon, General Secretary AH Zubed were present during the plot inspection. The plot has China on one side, United Nations House, Palestine and Japan on the other.

At this time, the ambassador told reporters that today is a historic and memorable day for the Kuwaiti diaspora. The ambassador expressed hope that the construction of its own Chancery Building and Bangladesh House in Kuwait will start soon after completing the rest of the process.
