Patient pressure is increasing in the hospitals of Mymensingh amid the scorching heat. In this situation, doctors are struggling to provide services in Mymensingh Medical College and Suryakanta Hospital. In addition to being aware of movement in this summer, doctors advise to consume liquid food to stay healthy.

An average of 120 children are being admitted to the Children’s Ward of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital due to cold, flu and pneumonia. About four hundred patients are admitted in the 60-bed ward, authorities said.

On the other hand, it is reported that 30 to 35 patients are receiving treatment for diarrhea every day at Suryakanta (SK) Hospital, which is managed under the supervision of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Patients have to take care lying on the floor and balcony due to excess pressure. And the doctors say that they are providing the best possible service by handling the pressure of the patient.

Taher Uddin and Afroza Akhter of Muktagacha were admitted to the Children’s Ward of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital with their two-year-old daughter Tanya Tasnim last Saturday after suffering from cold and fever.

Their Uddin was saying, “Due to frequent load-shedding in extreme heat, the child has fallen ill. Even after receiving hospital services, patients have to lie on the floor due to excess pressure.”

Going to Suryakanta (SK) hospital, it was seen that several patients were suffering from diarrhea and taking care. Talked there with bank employee Shafiqul Islam (40).

Shafiqul said, “The diarrhea has started since last Saturday. I ate saline at home; However, on Monday morning, my body suddenly became worse, so I was admitted to the hospital quickly. The doctors gave him saline and now he is feeling better.

In charge of Dr. Suryakanta Hospital, the patient’s pressure has increased a little more than usual in summer. Pragyananda Nath said.

He said, “Last March, 605 patients were treated with diarrhea; 655 people have taken the service this month. That means more patients are taking care in summer than usual.

“Although the patient pressure is a bit high, we are providing services; We also have enough medicines. However, people need to be a little more aware of their movement in summer.

Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Children’s Department Assistant Professor Dr. Biswajit Chowdhury said that most children suffer from respiratory problems, colds, colds and pneumonia due to excessive heat. More than hundred patients are being admitted every day. 374 patients are admitted in 60 beds.

“Due to lack of space in the wards, services are being provided on floors and balconies. Despite the shortage of doctors and manpower, we are ensuring services to the best of our ability.”

He said that the parents will have advice to take extra care of the children as it is overheated. Babies should be protected at all times along with liquid feeding.
