DMP News: Five agreements and five memorandums of understanding were signed today on Tuesday to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries Bangladesh and Qatar.

The agreements are: avoidance of double taxation and prevention of revenue evasion between Bangladesh and Qatar on income, cooperation in legal matters between the Government of Bangladesh and the State of Qatar, maritime transport between Qatar and Bangladesh, development and protection of mutual investment between Bangladesh and Qatar and Bangladesh-Qatar Joint Business Council. establishment

In addition to the agreement, five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed. MoUs were also signed on cooperation in the areas of manpower employment (labour), ports (MWANI Qatar and Chittagong Port Authority), education, higher education and scientific research, youth and sports and diplomatic training between Bangladesh and Qatar.

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina witnessed the signing ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office. Earlier, when the Emir of Qatar arrived at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed the Emir with a bouquet of flowers at the Tiger Gate.

They also met there in a private meeting. Later, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting on various issues of mutual interest. Before leaving the PMO, Amir also signed the visitors’ book kept at Tiger Gate. He then left the PMO and went to Bangabhaban. His Excellency the President. Sahabuddin hosted a lunch at Bangabhaban in honor of the Emir of Qatar.
