2 Chuet students killed
Chittagong: The Chittagong district administration is arranging to pay a total of Tk 5 lakh to the families of two students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology who died in a road accident.
On Tuesday (April 23) around noon in Chittagong Circuit House, two students of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology were killed in a road accident and the Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with Chuet authorities, Chuet student representatives, Bus Owners Association, police and law and order forces to control the situation.
The Deputy Commissioner made this announcement in the meeting.
He said, I have spoken to the Secretary of Road Transport and Bridge Ministry, he has assured to expand this road very soon.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Bridges has also promised to pay Tk 10 lakh to the two deceased students. In addition, the injured student will get Tk 3 lakh. By tomorrow we will send the form along with the documents to the concerned ministry. We hope to deliver the money to the family within two days.
