In the statement, he said, ‘Recently, the weather of the country has become extremely hot due to the extreme heat and lack of rain. Due to the high temperature, it has become very difficult for the common people to carry out their daily activities. On the one hand, due to high temperature, extreme heat, on the other hand, the life of people, animals, birds and animals has become miserable. Only Almighty God can save us from this situation. ‘
He also said, ‘About 20 people have died so far due to extreme heat flow (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). People all over the country are suffering in the heat. Especially the working people of various classes and occupations including farmers and laborers are suffering from the extreme heat at work. On April 22, a rickshaw puller died in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital due to extreme heat. Several farmers have died across the country.’
He said, ‘The fields have become dry due to severe drought. Crops are being destroyed. The growing paddy is getting wet. The animals and birds of the forest are suffering from the intense heat and the plants are dying.’
The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami said, ‘We call on the ulama, the leaders and workers of all levels of the Jamaat and the people of the country to perform Salatul Istiska and pray for Allah’s mercy and rain to get rid of this situation in the country. For this reason, I am calling on the initiative of all organizational branches of Jamaat-e-Islami to make the program of Salatul Istiska successful next Wednesday and Thursday (April 24 and 25).
